Hello! Happy Friday friends! Well, actually it is now early Saturday morning; minor detail. I was a little late in posting my submission for Unity's Friends with Flair; but I got it in. I was trying to get better pics, but time was of the essence. My camera really did not do this card justice or should I say my lack of photography skills did not do this card justice. I believe this was the first Unity stamp I have ever purchased. I purchased it at the Scrapbook Megameet in Novi, Michigan; probably 6 or 7 years ago. I have been designing this card in my head for the past several days. I grabbed some watercolor paper and a few of my Stampin' Up watercolor crayons. I lightly scribbled yellow, then pink, then purple. I used three paintbrushes to give a soft watercolored background for this large stamp which reads: Go for long walks indulge in hot baths Question your Assumptions be kind to yourself live for the moment loosen up scream curse the world count your blessings just let go just be. I inked the stamp with watermark ink and sprinkled white embossing powder on the stamped image and then used a heat gun. I cut a block of African Daisy cardstock (Bazzill) and adhered it to a white cardstock card base. I cut a block of Authentique pattern paper and adhered it diagonally over the yellow cardstock. I adhered foam adhesive to the stamped block and adhered it to the pattern paper block. I grabbed a mini yellow clothespin and clipped it to two pink paper flowers. I glued the clothespin to the stamped panel. I then grabbed two white sequins and attached a pink brad to each. The sequins were adhered to the stamped panel at opposite ends.
Thanks for visiting! I truly appreciate it! Have an awesome week-end and keep crafting in love.

Princess for a Day
Hello Friends! Sorry it has been a while since I last posted. I hope everyone is having an amazing St. Patrick's Day! I know I am! Unfortunately, I do not have anything to post related to this wonderful holiday, but I do have something 'royal' to post. From time to time, I like to create things for the princesses of the world. You know who I'm talking about! Our daughters, nieces, and granddaughters who are all about the 'sparkle.' First up is a #8 size manila tag I altered. I painted each side with silver paint. I then stamped the front side with stamps from the Doodle This stamp set from Stampin' Up. White chalk ink was used. The wood castle is KaiserCraft that I painted and applied glitter to. The butterflies were punched from patterned paper. Pearls were used to show the flight of the butterflies. The doily was cut on my Cricut. The pennant baaner was cut from a Spellbinders die.
Next up is a Happy Birthday Princess card. The chipboard princess, crown, and gown are all Imaginisce. The yellow patterned paper is American Crafts. The patterned paper used on the pennant banner is from the Girls Paperie. Green cardstock is Bazzill. The happy birthday stamp is from Unity Stamp Co and the princess stamp is from the Girls Paperie. The ink is Pixie Pink from Stampin Up. The rhinestones are KaiserCraft.
Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think! I appreciate your comments more than you know! Have a wonderful week!
Keep crafting in love,
Dawn
