Greetings Friends!  I hope everyone in the states had a blessed Thanksgiving.  Now it's time to focus on the most wonderful time of the year, Christmas.  If you need some Christmas inspiration, you have to check out our challenge at Can You Case It!  There's plenty of holiday sparkle.  For my card this week, I used a stag stamp from a Unity Stamp Co. set called All is Calm all is Bright.  The sentiment is Merry Little Christmas (Hobby Lobby).  Inks used are Timber Brown (StazOn) and Fired Brick (Tim Holtz/Ranger).  Rudolph,  polka dot, and multi-colored paper is Authentique.  Metallic gold paper is Teresa Collins.

I hope you enjoy the pics and the most wonderful time of the year!  Dawn

Can You Case It #96, A Sketch Challenge

Hello my wonderful friends!  This week over at Can You Case It we are having a sketch challenge.  I so hope you'll come join us.  This card came together pretty easily.  I knew I was using a sassy sentiment stamp and then I remembered I had these Vintage Vogue chipboard pieces from Pink Paislee.  The sassy sentiment comes from a set by Dyan Reaveley/Ranger called, say it how it is.  You have to check this set out if you're into sassy sentiments.  I promise you won't be disappointed.

For this card, I stamped the sentiment and then cut out the words and arranged them on my card.  I added some pattern paper for the background to the card base and a strip of pattern paper to the bottom of the card front.  Done!  Easy Peasy!

Ink used is Tuxedo Black (Memento Luxe) and the pattern paper is Savvy Skirt (American Crafts).  I hope you enjoy the pics.  Thanks for looking and I'll be looking for your creations at the challenge.

Can You Case It #95, A Color Challenge

Hello crafty friends!  This week at Can You Case It, we are having a color challenge...yellows, neutral, and browns.  When I set out to create this card with this color scheme, I envisioned something totally different, but I actually like the end result more.  When I was searching for embellishments, I stumbled upon this wood veneer teapot (coffee pot) in my stash.  I believe it is Pink Paislee.  The stamped image and sentiment are both A Muse Artstamps.  They were stamped in gathered twigs (Tim Holtz).  Pattern paper is American Crafts.  Polka dot die cut paper is Heidi Swapp and the floral die cut paper is Stampin' Up.  I used a colored pencil (Faber-Castell) and a distress marker (Tim Holtz) to color in the cups.  The teapot was inked in Staz-ON timber brown.  The polka dot die cut paper was inked with brushed corduroy and mustard seed (Tim Holtz).  Thanks for visiting and I hope you leave inspired.  I can't wait to see your creations.

Can You Case It #94, A Sketch Challenge

Hello Friends!  Welcome to this week's edition of Can You Case It!  We are featuring a sketch challenge this week.  I missed participating last week.  It was one of those weeks...a week where I locked myself, son, and dog out of the house.  But I'm back this week in full force. LOL  Today I am sharing a card using stamps from a new favorite stamp set of mine.  Who am I fooling?  All stamp sets from Unity are my favorite!  These two stamps are from a Unity Stamp Co. SMAK kit, A Little Bit More, August 2015.  I stamped the image and sentiment in Blackberry Bliss (Stampin' Up).  I added some pretty paper from Prima and Authentique and some pearls (Stampin' Up).  The doily I received as a free gift from Unity.  I inked it up with several colors trying to get it to match the stamped image.  I began with Blackberry Bliss but it did not quite match, probably because I stamped the image on pattern paper and the doily is stark white.  It is not quite the color I wanted, but I am still pleased with the result.  Let me know what you think!  And be sure to visit the rest of the team at Can You Case It!  Thanks for visiting and I hope you have been inspired.
