Friends of Unity Blog Hoppers, September 2019, Autumn Colors

One of my favorite seasons...fall! Time for cozy layers, colorful sweaters, hot apple cider, Halloween, leaves changing colors, leaves falling, and of course fall crafting. I love the beautiful colors of autumn; pumpkin spice, cinnamon, burnt red, red, golden hues of orange, brown, and yellow, and moss green. What colors would you add to this list? I hope my cards give the beautiful colors of fall the justice they deserve. Here is our cue:

Before I forget, several of us ladies are having giveaways, including myself. My birthday is September 3, so I want not just one person, but two people to share in my celebration. Before we get to the pictures of the prizes, let me share my cards.

First up:

Did I mention that I absolutely love making fall cards? Especially with the beautiful stamps created by Unity! To create this card I stamped the leaf on water color paper and colored it with Prima oil pastels. I fussy cut the leaf and set it aside. I then stamped the background stamp from the May 2017 SMAK onto the white card base. The chipboard hexagon piece was painted and sprayed and added over the background stamp. Then I added a journaling card. I then layered part of a kraft doily onto pattern paper which was cut with a circle cutter and then cut in half. Both the sentiment and leaf stamps are from the August 2019 KOM, warm and cozy. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with a die. I added it at an angle for interest. And lastly, I applied the beautiful leaf with foam adhesive.

Next up:

I was inspired by Karen Maldonado in the creation of this card. Something about this verse speaks to me. I'm hoping that the recipient is inspired as well. For this card I used a kraft card base. I found some pattern paper from my stash with autumn colors. The smaller piece was cut with a die. I stamped the heart with flower on water color paper and colored with Prima water colors. I fussy cut it and set it aside. I stamped the sentiment on pattern paper and layered it with pattern paper. I used foam adhesive on the sentiment. I then added a metal clip for a finishing touch. I then added the heart with foam adhesive. The heart stamp is from Here's to Love & Friends and the sentiment is from He Will Sustain You; both Graciellie Designs. I love Gracie Chavez. Her designs are always so beautifully amazing. If you have not checked out her stamp line, make sure you do. You will not be disappointed.

Whew! Are you still with me? Ha Ha! Here is the hop order:
