Greetings Everyone! When I went to the Adventure in Stamping Conveniton in Akron, Ohio, this past April 2015, I saw these amazing mixed media tags at the Stampers Anonymous booth. I did not take physical pictures of these beauties, but I took mental ones knowing I wanted to give it a go one day. Thus for this week's challenge since it is Designers Choice over at CYCI I am sharing my spin on these tags.
First you need a giant #12 size manila tag (Ranger). They are mega; they measure 5 1/8" x 10 1/2". I painted the tag in dylusions lemon zest paint (Ranger). I stamped the woman (Ranger-dylusons) in a black mixed media ink (Tsukineko). I painted her with dylusions bubblegum pink ink spray (Ranger). Her neck and shirt were colored using colored pencils. The word hope is from the soliloquy stencil (Art Anthology). It was stenciled with dylusions cut grass paint (Ranger). The raindrops (Prima) were stenciled with a mixture of modeling paste (Liquitex) and a pink gelato (Faber Castell). The bottom of the tag was stamped with a background stamp called wasted (Technique Junkies). The sentiment and definition are from a Unity Stamp Co. set called Brave Girl. The black circle stamp is from a Unity Stamp Co. SMAK Kit from November 2014 called Trust Your Soul. The amazing floral stamps are Prima. They were colored with Tim Holtz markers, mowed lawn and salty ocean.
I really enjoyed creating this tag. Make sure you check out the rest of the design team over at CYCI. We can't wait to see what you come up with.

Sympathy Card for Colleague's Husband, Friends with Flair Entry on Unity Stamp Co. Blog
Greetings All! Today I am sharing a sympathy card I created for a dear friend and colleague's husband. I lost a wonderful friend last week. I am a lunchroom/recess assistant at one of our elementary schools. I volunteered to make a sympathy card from our group to present to our friend's husband. Since this card was being given to a man, of course I did not want it to be feminine. I knew right away which stamp I would use. I received this stamp in my last Unity order. The stamp is called tangled leaf background; it is a Donna Downey Studios/Unity Stamp Co. collaboration. The sentiment stamp is from the February 2015 Unity Sentiment Kit called beautiful life, blessed memories. I used a heavy weight cream cardstock from Michael's for the card base. I believe the woodgrain paper is Basic Grey. The following watercolor crayons were used from Stampin' Up: ruby red, really rust, and summer sun.
I almost forgot. I thought I would enter this card into Friends with Flair over on the Unity Stamp Co. blog. There is usually a hop on Tuesday's but this week it was delayed until Thursday. Make sure you check it out.
Thanks for visiting!!

CAN YOU CASE IT #87 Color Challenge...Any Three Blues with Neutrals
Hello Everyone! I am so excited that you are here. I can't wait to share this card I created for CYCI #87! I love this card. I love, love, love this stamp from the Prima Bloom Collection (there are several other beauties in this collection, just sayin'). Let's just say she is gorgeous and I should've inked her up when I first received her in the mail many months ago. Anywho, let's get to it, ok?
I stamped this beauty in a black mixed media ink by MementoLuxe on mixed media paper. Her hair was colored with a brilliant blue watercolor crayon by Stampin' Up. The flower in her hair and her clothes were colored with the tempting turquoise watercolor crayon by Stampin' Up. Her skin was colored with the creamy caramel watercolor crayon by Stampin' Up. Her lips were done with the really rust watercolor crayon also from Stampin' Up. The sentiment, Become the woman you dream of being, is from a newer Unity Stamp Co. set called dream of being.
A piece of heavyweight kraft cardstock was embossed using the poppy embossing folder by Cuttlebug/Anna Griffin. The blue denim is Recollections (Michael's) and the darker cardstock is Bazzill. I added some twine through the loops and created a bow and topped each loop with a flower from Fancy Pants.
Make sure you visit the rest of the design team at CYCI. I promise you'll be inspired. Then after all the inspiration, join in on the fun and create something amazing. We can't wait to see what you come up with.

Hello Sweet Baby Card, Unity Be Inspired Challenge
Hello crafty friends! I have not created a baby card in a very long time, but when this stamp set by Unity Stamp Co. became available as a non-member purchase, I snatched it right on up! I mean look at the elephant and sentiment...PURE LOVE! Sweet Elle is the name of the stamp set. It is from one of Unity's exclusive memberships, Stamp of the Week. I am entering this card in the Unity Be Inspired Challenge. I am participating in the sketch challenge. Pattern paper is My Mind's Eye. Fabric flower is Dear Lizzy/American Crafts and the other flower is Michael's. The line of hearts stamp is also Unity. It is from their June 2010 Kit of the Month, fly...free. Ink is Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink (Tim Holtz). Burlap trim is Michael's. Thanks for visiting and keep crafting in peace and love.

Can You Case It Color Challenge, CYCI#85
Hey all! Welcome to this week's challenge which features browns, blues, and yellows. If you don't know already, I am a huge fan of Unity Stamp Co. I am also a big fan of Prima embellishments and stamps. I guess you can say I combined my two great loves in the creation of this card.
Here are the steps in creating this card:
(1) Rub an acqua dolce Gelato over mixed media paper. Dip your index finger in water and blend color.
(2) Rub a banana Gelato sparsely over the blue and blend with your wet finger. Apply banana to the sides and top of card and blend again with finger.
(3) Scribble some banana Gelato on your work mat (I use wax paper) and add water. Use a stipple brush to pick up color and splatter.
(4) Stamp the butterfly (Prima), sentiments (Unity), and ink spots (Unity) in a rich cocoa ink.
(5) Adhere this piece to light brown cardstock (American Crafts). Adhere to a white card base.
Oh, I'd like to mention that I am so very happy to have found this mixed media paper by Strathmore. It's 140lb. and has a very smooth surface. I had been using cold press water color paper and this does not have a smooth surface at all which made it difficult to work with.
I'm glad you stopped in. Please check out my photos and supply list and when you're done visiting the rest of the design team, come play with us at can you case it. We'll be waiting to see all of your lovely creations.
Supply List:
Card Base: 110lb white heavy weight cardstock (Core'dinations/Darice)
Brown Sugar cardstock (American Crafts)
Mixed Media Paper with vellum surface; 140lb (Strathmore)
Acqua Dolce Gelato (Faber-Castell)
Banana Gelato (Faber-Castell)

Sentiment stamps; Layers of Life Hope Discover Find (June 2015) (Unity Stamp Co.)
Ink spot stamp; Layers of Life Hope Discover Find (June 2015) (Unity Stamp Co.)
Ink for mixed media; Rich Cocoa (Memento LUXE)
