Friends of Unity Blog Hoppers, October 2019, Change

If you visited my blog last month, then you know my birthday was September 3. In celebration of my birthday I had decided to give away two prize packs. Drum roll please!! Here is my card for this month's challenge:



I bought this gorgeous lady four years ago and this is my first time using her! I'm sure many of you can relate. I shop so much faster than I create. Ha! Ha! This was also my first time using my gelli plate I purchased in April 2019, so that's not so bad, right? I must use this gelli plate more. I love the results. Such vibrant, rich color. In keeping with the fall season and its splendid colors, I decided to go with fall colors. In the creation of this card, I added two colors to my gelli plate. I then grabbed my Misplaced Chevron Stamp and laid it on the plate. I removed it and then placed my paper on to the plate and voila, my background for this pretty lady was created. She comes from a set called, the strength she needs, and the sentiment comes from that's life.

    OMG.... love this card! And you used your Gelli plate... yeah... turned out super! Fantastic design... with the Today background paper, your Chevron paper, your girl and that beautiful sentiment! (I may need to pick That’s Life up.) Perfect!

    Wow! Gorgeous card, Dawn! That background is amazing!! I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I have a gelli plate that I've never even opened... it's been a few years since I bought it! I always have good intentions to give it a go... but alas, still haven't. You've inspired me to pull that gelli plate out and get inky!! Maybe for World Card Making Day!!     Gorgeous card- love that image! I enjoy the Gelli plate and really enjoy the prints- some put aside for a while, but love the fun backgrounds! You did an amazing job with yours!

    I just might be inspired to get my gelli plate out of the package! AND I'm going to remember the line - I shop faster than I create. That's a much better phrase than - hoarding!
