Friends of Unity Blog Hoppers, January 2020, Favorite Unity Stamp of 2019

Hey all! Happy New Year! I am so excited to share with you this card to kick off 2020! It's a little different for me; not my style at all. I wanted to try something different; I needed to. I really love how it turned out. Tell me what you think! But first, check out our cue:

And my favorite stamp of 2019 was, Make it Happen Girl. I love her; what a wonderful image. I have other favorites from 2019, but she just speaks to me.

Well, what do you think about my psychedelic chick? I paired her with spilled paint, a background stamp, from Brutus Monroe & Unity. I picked up spilled paint in the swap at a very good price. I told myself that I will probably never use it and then I see this image from Make It Happen, Girl. Great combination of kits, don't you think? Here is how I created this card: I stamped spilled paint on white, heavy weight card stock. I painted the swirls with Prima metallic and opal magic paints. If you look closely at picture number three, you can see the opal magic. It's pretty cool, because when it hits the black you get this cool purple shimmer. On white it's a green shimmer. I then flicked paint splatters after the other paint had dried. I had this plain, boring chipboard frame lying around. I decided to add some paint splatters to it. For the girl, I paper pieced her shirt from Prima pattern paper and colored her skin with a Prima water color pencil. I also colored her hair with a Prima water color. So I layered the frame on spilled paint. I used foam adhesive on the girl. I stamped the sentiment, cut it out, and placed it on her bottom half. Finally I added a gold chipboard circle to the upper left of the frame.

Well, I am the last stop in the hop! Thanks for checking out my psychedelic chick. Just in case you want to hop again, here is the hop order:
