Welcome back! As always, I am so happy you're here! Sympathy cards...we all struggle in creating these. I hope our hop gives you some ideas you may want to try. And of course, we love to see what you come up with.
Isn't this a beautiful graphic?
I made two cards for our hop. The first is shabby and chic. The second is more clean and simple. Here is the first card:
I really love how this card turned out. I hope it brings comfort to the recipient. The heart stamp is from the November 2014 SMAK, Trust your soul. I love this stamp. I use it quite a bit. The paw prints and sentiment are from Fur Baby Love. There are some really cute images in this set. I really love the look of stamped images on pattern paper. It gives your stamped images more depth.
Second card:
I really love how this card turned out too! I hope it brings comfort and peace to the recipient. The beautiful sentiment comes from the February 2019 Sentiment Kit, My Sympathies. Image is from No Time for Guilt. I used my new Zig markers on her.

Wow! So many beautiful layers to these cards! Thank you for including a pet sympathy card. I find that I send as many of those as I do for people.
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much Meg! I recently sent a pet sympathy card to one of my youngest son's friends. He had his dog since he was 4. His dog was 14. My heart breaks for him. He lost his first best friend.

DeleteI find myself sending a lot of pet sympathy cards to friends whose pets are getting older right along with us. The sentiment and heart image are just perfect. Your second card is really beautiful and the sentiment is such a thoughtful one. Love how you used a simple color wash to accent your image.
