FRIENDS WITH FLAIR POST

Hello friends in Unity!  Welcome to my Friday, September 20, 2013 entry for Friends with Flair sponsored by the awesome Unity Stamp Co.  I created this tag in light of Breast Cancer Awareness Month coming up in October.  I had a couple of aunts who I was quite fond of who lost their fight to breast cancer some years ago.  They were fighters.  I remember their strength and courage.  I know I am not alone when it comes to seeing someone battle this disease.  I'm sure that at some point in time they felt each emotion in this sentiment.  In fact, I'm quite sure that we as women have experienced all of these feelings and emotions at one point or another.

I chose not to go with the traditional pink.  The sentiment is from an Ipitty set called courage is my strength.  The butterfly and star stamp is from the Unity Stamp Co. October 2011 KOM called faith, hope, love...live by it.  The sentiment was stamped in coastal cabana (Stampin' Up) and embossed with a clear embossing powder (Stampin' Up); the butterfly and star stamp was stamped in squeezed lemonade (Tim Holtz) and embossed.  The entire tag was then inked with worn lipstick (Tim Holtz) and the entire tag was embossed.  The wood spool button and twine is Pink Paislee.  The butterfly is Heidi Swapp; it was originally white (I altered it with squeezed lemonade and coastal cabana).  The wood heart is Studio Calico.

There is Beauty All Around

I am so bummed!  This card was supposed to had been entered into the September Unity be inspired Challenge.  Somewhere along the way, I got the deadline date wrong.  Thus, I am entering it for Friends with Flair.  This was my favorite challenge so far.  I not only loved the colors, but I loved the flow of the card sketch as well. 

All of the stamps used are Unity.  The flower stamps, sentiment, and doily are from the vintage doily shop set.  The stamp done in blue ink is one of their large background stamps; unfortunately I cannot remember its name.  The wood heart is Studio Calico. 

Pictures From My Etsy Shop Sale

The second group of pictures are of a Halloween card I created a couple of days ago.  I also decorated an envelope to coordinate with this card.  Both stamps are from Unity Stamp Co.  I love, love, love
Unity Stamps.  The designs and sentiments are just oh so fabulous.  The polka dot paper is My Minds Eye, the witch is stamped on some paper from Fancy Pants Designs, and the orange paper is the reverse side of what I stamped the witch on.  Ribbon and silver glittered brads are from Making Memories.  Sentiment was stamped with Stampin' Up ink (vintage violet).  Various brands of markers were used to dress up my little witch:  Copic, Tim Holtz, Stampin' Up, and Sharpie.  The labels were cut with my Cricut Expression.

The first group of pics are of a Bachelorette Mini Book.  Papers from Heidi Swapp and Bella Blvd were used.  The transparency is Hambly.  Stamps are by 7gypsies, Tim Holtz, Scenic Route, Girls Paperie, and Unity Stamp Co.

New to the world of blogging
