Well hello friends! So glad you are back, hopping with us this month. So this month we are using our favorite Angie Girl, Guy or both. I only have one guy and so many girls, so it was kind of hard picking just one girl, because, honestly, they are all my favorite. But before I continue, I want to announce the winner of my blog prize from last month's hop. Drum roll please! CARLA HUNDLEY you are the winner of my prize pack. Please email me at lovepaperetc@gmail.com to claim your prize with your address. There was one stamp set in my prize pack, Cuddlebug Koala and some random stamps. Congratulations Carla! We appreciate your support!
Long story short. My plan was to use Forrest Guy on the first card, but after several attempts (probably ten), I just could not pull it off. The whole layout and I tried several was disproportionate. He just did not look right. I'm thinking if he had legs, he would've worked out. But if someone can make it work, I would love to see. Anyone accept this challenge? If so, I will send you a brand new Unity stamp set, my choice.
Here is the first card:
This is my first time creating a scene. How did I do? I used Prima water soluble oil pastels for most of the coloring. I used Prima water color pencils on the girl. Let me introduce you to Dallas Girl. She exhibits so much strength, don't you think? The truck is from Scout Adventure. The mountain range and sentiment are both from a Whit Kit, Let Your Soul Wander. I really love how this card turned out. Honestly, I didn't think I was going to be able to pull off this scene, but once I changed from Forrest Guy to her it was like it all came together for me.
Now here is my second card using, you guessed it, Forrest guy!
In addition to Forrest Guy, I used Barn Wall for the background and you are my happy place is from the February 2019 Kit of the Month, ridiculously amazing. I used Faber-Castell colored pencils for his shirt and Prima water color pencils for his t-shirt, skin, and hair. I think making guy cards is slowly becoming my favorite thing to do.
