Can You Case It, #100, A Milestone Challenge

Greetings friends!  This is an exciting week for us at Can You Case It!  We are celebrating our 100th Challenge!  Woot! Woot!  Raise the roof!  It's a party...no seriously, it's a party and you are invited. We are celebrating this milestone with a design team member blog hop.  Be sure to visit all of our blogs in the hop to be eligible for prizes.  All you have to do is leave a comment on each of our blogs. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!  Lol!!! Check out the sketch!

Now for the card I created using this sketch.  This card is full of positive energy, it's raw, organic, natural.  It is by far one of my favorites I have ever created.  The focal point is my new favorite stamp.  Of course it is from Unity.  It is from one of their new sets, keep it simple.  I stamped it twice to create this beautiful bloom of feathers.  It was stamped in ripe persimmon (Ranger/Tim Holtz).  I used colored pencils (Faber Castell) to fill in this beauty.  The water colored background was created using a yellow gelato and a blood orange gelato.  Pattern paper is Basic Grey.  Coral corrugated paper is Fancy Pants.  The sentiment and striped background are stamps also from Unity from a set called Brave Spirit Diamond Stripes.  Sentiment was stamped in ripe persimmon and diamond stripes in broken china (Ranger/Tim Holtz).  The cream/gold hemp is Lawn Fawn and wood and chipboard arrows are Basic Grey.  I picked up the wood veneer feathers from a scrapbook convention.

Thanks for hopping with us.  The winner on my blog will receive a set of brand new stamps, so make sure you comment.  You have until Friday, January 1, 2016, to leave a comment.  The winner will be announced Sunday, January 3, 2016.  This is so exciting.  Let's have some fun.  Here is the hop list:

Can You Case It, #99, A Holiday Color Challenge

Greetings Friends!  I just love that you found your way over to my blog; this makes me so happy.  This week we are having a holiday color challenge over at Can You Case It!  I hope you will decide to join us.  For this challenge I created a shiny, sparkly tag using pale blue, gold, and silver.  I'm putting this tag on one of my mom's Christmas gifts.

I received this pale blue gift tag as part of a free gift with order from my favorite stamp company, Unity.  I applied a gelato in squid and created streaks across the tag.  I then applied a metallic gold gelato for more shimmer and shine.  The snowflakes were stamped in VersaMark.  For the life of me I do not remember who made these stamps, but they have always been my favorite snowflakes.  I embossed them with an aged silver embossing powder (Stampendous).  The sentiment stamp is from an older Unity Kit of the Month called picture perfect (November 2010).  The color of the ink is evergreen bough (Ranger).  A piece of gold dotted washi tape (Heidi Swapp) is under the sentiment.  The die used for the sentiment comes from Chalk Talk (Stampin' Up).  Glistening vines are Prima and gold hemp cord is Lawn Fawn.

Thanks for looking and have a joyous holiday season!  Dawn

Can You Case It, #98, A Sketch Challenge

Greetings Friends!  I hope everyone is in the holiday spirit.  I know I am.  This week we are having a sketch challenge at Can You Case It!  I hope you will join us.  I discovered this adorable woodland animals sticker set (jolee's boutique) at Michael's just the other day.  I'm so excited that I found a use for a couple of them on this card.  Here are the rest of the supplies used in creating this card:  pattern paper is Merry (Authentique); snowflake swirl stamp and peace stamp are Fancy Pants Designs; wood tag is Recollections and ink is saddle brown (StazOn).

Thanks for visiting my blog this week.  Make sure you come back next week.
