Friends of Unity Blog Hoppers, January 2019, New Year

Happy New Year! I hope you had a merry holiday season. I am so glad you can join us for another hop.  We are looking forward to another great year of sharing our love for Unity. Here is the cue :No photo description available.

And here is my card:

For this card I used a technique I don't use a lot, masking, and I used a medium I have not used in awhile, markers (Copics and a Sharpie).  I love how vibrant the colors are.  All three stamps come from the same Kit of the Month, March 2015, Always Begin Again. I've used the floral stamp before, but this was my first time using the beautiful girl and quote. She was an absolute joy to color. I thought the quote was fitting since our theme is new year.  The new year brings hope of better choices, better decisions, which leads to a better life.  Don't let the past dictate your future.  Use the past as a tool for not making the same mistakes twice. Use the past as a compass for how far you have come, for how much you have grown into the person you want to be.  And if 2019 is not starting the way you want it to, do not despair. You have time to begin again.

Several of my friends are having giveaways. So be sure to comment on each of our blogs to be eligible to win a prize. I am the last one in our hop, but here is the list again if you decide you want to take another look.
