Can You Case It #155, A Sketch Challenge

Welcome back friends!  We are having a sketch challenge this week at Can You Case It:

No automatic alt text available.
Here is my card:

For this card I used some products I just purchased today at Adventures in Stamping in Akron, Ohio: Distress Oxide Inks (Tim Holtz) and this stamp called Best Gift (Technique Junkies).  This stamp caught my eye because of the beautiful sentiment and the layout which is perfect for this sketch.  I really love my new Distress Oxides.  If you haven't checked them out yet, I highly recommend you do...they are amazing.

Until next time,
Dawn

Here is my card:

I love this paper collection by Pink Paislee.  It's perfect for scrapping those camping trip and road trip memories.  Everything you see here is Pink Paislee except die cut paper (Heidi Swapp) and hammered nailhead (Tim Holtz).

Since this is a two week challenge, you have plenty of time to join us.  I look forward to seeing your creations.

Until next time,
Keep crafting in peace and love,
Dawn

Can You Case It #153, A Sketch Challenge

Hello my friends!  So glad you are here and hope you are inspired to participate in this week's challenge.  Check out this great sketch by Pam:

Here is my card inspired by this sketch:

For this card I used a throwback stamp from Unity Stamp Co.  This stamp, friends holding hands, is from the April 2009 Kit of the Month, fresh beginnings.  This stamp is so sweet..  The sentiment stamp is from a Unity grab bag, your heart and my heart.  Other supplies used are a torn page from a vintage book, pattern paper (Webster's Pages), a canvas ATC, heavy gesso (Prima), water colors (Prima), enamel dots (My Minds Eye), chipboard clock (Pink Paislee), and ink (Stampin' Up and Tim Holtz).

Make sure you stop by next week for even more inspiration.

Until next time,
Dawn

Can You Case It #152, A Color Challenge

Hello Friends! Welcome back to the CYCI challenge! Here is an amazing color combo presented by our very own, Amber:Image may contain: texthttp://canyoucaseit.com/?p=3663

With this springy combo of colors I decided to make an Easter card with little Buttercup (Unity Stamp Co.):

Isn't she the cutest lil' bunny ever?  I have had her for a couple of years and this is my first time inking her up.  I colored her with Copics and Prima water color pencils.  The sentiment is also from the Buttercup set (Unity Stamp Co.).  Other supplies used are:  felt cloud (Basic Grey); pattern paper (Webster's Pages); chipboard flower (Crate Paper); and die cut paper (Heidi Swapp).  The mini wood flower I received as a freebie from Unity.

I really appreciate you taking the time to visit.  Please come again next week for a sketch challenge.

Until next time,
Dawn

Savvy 7-April 2017-Blog Hop-Birthdays

Happy Birthday!  No it's not my birthday, but it just may be your birthday.  And it just so happens that birthdays are the theme for this month's blog hop at thesavvy7.blogspot.com.  Come join us and celebrate...whether it's your birthday or not.

For my card I chose Maggie Girl (It's Your Birthday) from Unity Stamp Co.  I believe this set was one of the first Unity sets I ever purchased. And can you believe this is my first time inking her up?  What took so long, considering I have been a Unity addict for the past, I don't know, 5+ years?  I know what took so long; I forgot I had her considering I shop a whole lot faster than I create.  This shopping faster than creating popped up recently in my Facebook feed.  Boy, can I relate?!

Anywhoo, let's get to my card:

I colored Maggie with Derwent and Prima water color pencils.  I added a bunch of pattern paper pieces from Crate Paper.  I also used die cut paper and an acetate word from Heidi Swapp.  I really like how this card turned out.

Well, friends, I have to go, but please check out the rest of the team and I hope you leave our little hop inspired.

Until next time,
Dawn
