Friends with Flair...February 27, 2015

Hello Stamping Friends,

I am participating in the Friends with Flair linky party over on the Unity Stamp Co. blog.  I am sharing a thank you card I created for one of my son's teachers.  My oldest son is graduating from high school in the spring and he has been applying for various scholarships.  His teachers have written glowing recommendations for him and I want to show our appreciation.  I'm not sure if I am going to make the same card for all his teachers or different ones.  But here is the first.  The feathers were stamped in Peacock Feathers (Tim Holtz) and the sentiment was stamped in Coastal Cabana (Stampin' Up).  The ink splatters are Squeezed Lemonade (Tim Holtz) and I colored the word, thanks, in Squeezed Lemonade as well.  The washi tape is Stampin' Up.  Both stamps are Unity.  The feather is from the SMAK November 2014 kit called Trust your soul.  Unfortunately I do not know which set the thanks sentiment is from...sorry.  Be sure to check out the other entries and be inspired.  Thanks for looking and come back soon!

Friends with Flair February 20. 2015

Hello Friends,

I was unable to participate in Friends with Flair last week, but I am back this week.  My goal is to participate every week in 2015.  I guess 51 out of 52 ain't bad.

I don't know about you, but I am ready for some warm weather.  I am so done with 25 below wind chills and single digit temperatures.  Thus, I decided to create something to reflect springtime.  For this project I used a burlap tote I purchased from Michael's.  It was part of their Thanksgiving line.  I thought I was going to use it for Thanksgiving 2015, but I thought it would make an adorable Easter tote.  I created this tag to be tied onto this burlap tote.  The bunny is from the Itty Bitty stamp set from Unity Stamp Co. called Lil' Bunny Wishes.  The sentiment is from the Buttercup stamp set, also from Unity.  I am entering this creation into the Friends with Flair challenge over on the Unity Stamp Co. blog.  Thanks for visiting and have a fabulous week-end!

Friends with Flair February 6, 2015

Hey Everyone!  It was so frigid here today in Northeast Ohio.  I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I have the sweetest dog who loves to go on walks and sniff all of her surroundings.  Today was no different.  So, when I got off of work, she was ready to go.  So we're walking, about 15 minutes into our walk and she decides she wants to walk on this busy street.  We haven't walked on this street in like, months.  I do not like to take her on this street when there is a lot of snow.  I don't know what I was thinking.  She pulls me off the street into this heavily snowy area.  I underestimate the depth of the snow and I go down on my knees and hands and the only part of my dog's body you could see is her head.  I'm sure we looked quite the pair.  Luckily my house is near...for fear of frost bite.  It was only 10 degrees outside.  Well onto my card.  I hope I gave you a good laugh!

Today, for Friends with Flair over on the unity stamp co. blog, I made a card using the Itty Bitty called, Call Me...I'll Laugh at You!  I love this stamp set.  It just makes me smile.  I stamped the sentiment and image in Staz On black ink.  The pattern paper is Crate Paper and the library card and pocket is Fancy Pants.  Thanks for visiting.  How was your day?!
