Can You Case It #111, Pick 3 Colors of Your Choosing, A Color Challenge

Honestly, I feel my creative strengths are with sketch challenges.  I don't know why, but I struggle with color challenges...however I am getting better.  For this card I had no idea what 3 colors I was going to use.  I only knew I was making a get well soon card.  First I found this amazing sentiment from butterflies and sunbeams, the August 2015 Unity Sentiment Kit (Unity Stamp Co.).  Next I needed an uplifting image.  I remembered I had this wonderful chipboard bicycle from Crate Paper and I was like, "Perfect."  The sentiment was stamped in Rose Red (Stampin' Up).  The chevron was created using the chevron stencil by Tim Holtz.  It was inked with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink, also Tim Holtz.  The strip of pattern paper is My Minds Eye and yellow clothespin is from Michael's.

I hope you will come and play with us at Can You Case It!?  Thanks for visiting and make sure you visit the rest of the design team.  Until next time...keep crafting in love & peace.

Can You Case It #109, A Color Challenge

Welcome Back!  If you have not joined us for a challenge at Can You Case It, you just have to this week.  We are having a color challenge, featuring one of my favorite color combos...turquoise, yellow, and white.

Here is my card; check it out...

I used a couple of these stamps for the very first time.  Like this huge, gorgeous flower.  I mean look at it...it's absolutely gorgeous.  You can find this stamp at Unity Stamp Co.  The set is called You are important and it is currently on sale for 58% off.  The other stamp used for the very first time is the sentiment.  You can find it at Stampin' Up.  The set is called Work of Art.  The inside of the flower stamp was created using brush stroke stamps from Work of Art.  The one other stamp is also from Stampin' Up from a set called Butterfly Basics.  The flower, sentiment, and one brush stroke was stamped in Tempting Turquoise (Stampin' Up).  The yellow is Squeezed Lemonade (Ranger/Tim Holtz).
