Friends of Unity Blog Hoppers, March 2018, New Beginnings

Well hello there friends!  So glad you are here.  In case you missed it, I have some very exciting news for someone who commented on my post from our blog hop back in February.  Drum roll please:  Good2BT, you are the winner!  Yay!  Woohoo!  Congrats to you!  Please contact me.

Now on to this month's hop.  Since I am the last one in the hop, you already know our theme for March is New Beginnings.  I'm not really a clean and simple type of lady, but this is pretty close for me.  LOL.  I felt this sentiment did not need too many distractions.  I wanted the emphasis to really be on the sentiment.  Check out my creation right here:

The sentiment is from the January 2016 Unity Sentiment Kit, worth it all.  I really love this kit.  Plenty of great sentiments.  In creating this card, I also used a Tim Holtz butterfly die cut, then I embossed it.  The backdrop of this card is a library card with pocket (Fancy Pants).  Frame is Heidi Swapp.

Friends of Unity Blog Hoppers, February 2018, LOVE

Our theme this month is LOVE.  Fitting right, since it is February?!  Valentine's Day is February 14.  So if you haven't gone out to purchase your Valentines, you still have a little time.  For this card I used two SMAK kits from Unity Stamp Co.; January 2017 (progress and change) and December 2014 (moments like these).  This card also features paint splatters, color provided by colored pencils (Faber-Castell) and Distress Ink (Tim Holtz) and a Tim Holtz metal timepiece.

Again thanks for stopping by.  I am the last stop in this hop of LOVE; please make sure you checked out the blogs of the rest of the team.  We really appreciate your support and kind words.

Friends of Unity Blog Hoppers January 2018

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday season!  I'm preparing this post before I fly to California.  My sister-in-law has been ill and I'm going to help my brother and niece with her care.  Prayers are greatly appreciated at this time.  She is a phenomenal woman and I hope she recovers soon.  My niece is 16.  She is putting up a brave front, but I know she must be very concerned.  Please include my niece and brother in your prayers.  Thank you.

I combined two Unity sets in the creation of this card.  The theme for this month's blog hop is winter.  The sentiment is from woodland deer and the image is from wild Christmas.  Both sets are rather new to my Unity collection.  I colored the image with Prima water color pencils and the shimmer and shine was provided by Prima metallic accents.  I finished the card off with Prima mini art stones, a few Nuvo drops and ribbon.  This is my first time using the art stones and Nuvo.  I am quite impressed and can't wait to use these on future projects.

Thanks for visiting my blog.  Here is the line up for the blog hop:

Kindness is like snow...

Well helllooooo!  It has been too long since I've blogged.  It's great to be back.  I have been crafting, just not blogging, but that has now changed.  I am so excited to be part of a new group of paper crafters/mixed media artists.  We are the Friends of Unity Blog Hoppers; welcome to our very first installment.

This card was created using a couple of stamps from the October 2017 SMAK Kit, winter wild.  I love the trees and other winter images.  The moose is my favorite in this kit, just saying.

I am the last one in the blog hop, but if you want to revisit the list, here it is:

Parisian Flower Girl Pail

Hey there!  So glad you took a minute to visit my blog.  My favorite season is near, autumn.  I love creating fall themed projects so get ready for more posts.  This is the first of several. It's not really fall-ish but at least my crafting mojo is returning.  I also love weddings.  I've had this pail for a little bit screaming at me to make it pretty,  Well I finally did. I love the result. I hope you do too.  It is available in my shop, lovepaperetc.etsy.com.

Until next time,
Dawn

Card for my Travel Agent

It's been  exactly one month since I've blogged.  Been busy!  My hubby and I went on the best adventure to Italy last month for 9 days. Beautiful!  Amazing!  Surreal! are just a few words to describe our getaway.  We visited 12 cities including Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Verona, and Venice.  To show our appreciation I created this card and envelope for our travel agent. She arranged the perfect trip for us. This was our very first time going overseas. We can't wait to do it again.

Thanks for  visiting!  See you again soon!
