Growing in Unity...Day #4

Oh no! I'm coming to the end of my Growing in Unity week, over at the Unity Stamp Company blog.  Thanks for visiting my blog all week.  So today is Day #4.  This was an honor to be the Growing in Unity girl this week.  I have received so much love and support.  Thank you all!  Continue leaving comments for your chance to win 2 Itty Bittys from Unity Stamp Company; you have until midnight CST

tomorrow to leave a comment.

Well for today, I am sharing a card I entered in the Unity be inspired challenge.  I followed the sketch.  The patterned paper is called Priority from the Yes, Please collection (American Crafts).  The orange/pink paper is one side and the blue is the flip side from the same sheet of paper.  I thought the paper was more orange, but it is actually more pink.  I think some times I am color blind.  I just think I need to get better lighting in my craft room; 'cause when I go to a different room the colors look different.  Anywhoo...the pinwheels from happy pinwheels (Simple Stories & Unity) were stamped in black onto white cardstock.  The pinwheels were then stamped again in black on watercolor paper.  They were colored with gelatos.  I cut the white cardstock into an oval and it was inked with Antique Linen (Tim Holtz).  I fussy cut the colored pinwheels and adhered them to inked oval with foam adhesive.  Enamel dots (My Mind's Eye) were adhered to the centers of the pinwheels.  The sentiment stamp is from the May 2011 KOM called think Happy thoughts.  I inked it with a Tim Holtz ripe persimmon distress ink marker on yellow cardstock.  I trimmed the yellow cardstock into a rectangle and adhered it at the bottom of the oval with foam adhesive.  A happy chipboard piece (My Mind's Eye) was adhered at the top of the oval.

Thanks for visiting and be sure to come back tomorrow.  Until then, peace and love in crafting
