Hey everyone!
I hope you had an amazing week. I am sharing a card with you today that I am entering in Friends with Flair over on the Unity Stamp Co. blog. Would you believe that inspiration for this card came from a Bath and Body Works shower gel bottle, Velvet Sugar? Well, it's true! I have been making this card in my mind for the past several weeks. I am not totally pleased with how it turned out; I think I'll try again. All three stamps are from Unity of course: the heart is from the November 2014 SMAK Kit, Trust your Soul; tattered chicken wire; and the sentiment is from the November 2013 Kit of the Month, Strength and Dignity. The heart was colored with chalk ink, a water color crayon, and paint. The chicken wire image was stamped with gold paint. I painted the outline of the card piece with gold paint as well. The card piece was placed slightly off center on the card base. The sentiment was stamped with Stampin' Up ink. Twine is Lawn Fawn and the flower is Michael's. As always, thanks for visiting.
Love your colors and layering. Saw you on FWF.

ReplyDeleteWowzers, look at that shine!
ReplyDeleteToo cool!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I like the story about the inspiration for it. How FUN.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't help but notice that your eldest son's name is also Cameron! My Cameron is 13 and both my boys love to read as well. I am proud of this as it seems to be harder these days to pull kids away from screens to get them interested in books! I feel that reading is one of the best gifts I could have given them!
Happy Saturday!
Shanna :)
Simply beautiful. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! That gold makes it an elegant creation!
ReplyDeleteOh......pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease don't tell me there is a BBW fragrance called something as delectable as Velvet Sugar!!! I have sooooooooooo many BBW lotions, gels, and fragrance mists that I will never use them up!! And then they came out with Velvet Sugar???? Good thing that these days I spend all my (husband's) money at JoAnns instead....and have so many craft supplies I will never use them up!! lol.....
ReplyDeleteLOVE your pretty card. Since I don't know what the Velvet Sugar packaging looks like (and I am resisting the urge to go to their website right now!!!) I can only imagine that it is lovely to have inspired your beautiful card!!!
TFS (I think...lol..) on FWF!!!
